Apologies for using a 'topic box' in order to introduce myself, but I often encounter difficulty whilst 'getting around' new forums. In this instance I couldn't get into/access the forum 'Introduce Yourself' option. :|

Anyway,here I am. I'm now retired from the [believe me, thankfully!] construction industry, I reside near Newcastle-upon-Tyne, I'm a bit of an Arsenal supporter & my principle hobbies are RAF WW2 Bomber Command & coarse fishing. So, I now say hello to you all, & I sincerely hope that our relationship will be friendly [it most certainly will!] & of mutual benefit.

My first questions - We have here, the Mrs & I, a 'as new' 57 registration Skoda Roomster, 1.6 petrol it is. Can anyone tell me if its possible to have front fog-lights fitted, the car has none at the moment? I've tried one or two local dealers & I get the impression that they haven't a clue & don't want to know. I keep getting responses similar to, "Why don't you try the after-market?"

Also, has anyone got anything to say regarding petrol consumption on this motor. What do they experts think I should be getting whilst using the car mainly for trips not execeeding 12 to 15 miles one way, with many trips being much shorter than that, back & forward to the supermarket etc.

I'll be grateful for all advice offered.
