octavia seat belt warnings

Featured Replies

My Octavia seat belt warning light and buzzer comes on intermittently whilst driving. The seat belt is still securely fastened so I would like to remove the fuse but cannot find one. HELP

Good username to pick! :D

Welcome to the the forum.

Firstly, please don't remove any fuses. You have two options; you can unplug the plug for the warning system under the seat (has no relation to any other warning system, or airbags etc - they have their own separate wiring). Or the best option is for someone with VCDS (VAG-COM) to disable it for you. That way no physical changes are made to the car.

If you're nearer this way at some point I'll happily sort it for you. Or we have a monthly meeting at J10 of the M56, when it can be sorted. Check the NW Meets section for more info.

Cheers,

Steve

Just unplug it

1 minute job
