My 54reg vrs went into limp mode yesterday and the EPC light came one..i managed to get it home as i was about half a mile away. But upon starting it today the EPC light is still on but the car wont rev atall!!

Does anybody have any ideas of what this could be??

Also a while ago i fitted a downpipe and decat and put the sensors back into them. then a while after that the engine management light came on..could this be related??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

you need to scan for codes, any suggestions would be a shot in the dark otherwise.

it could be so many things. Let us know once you've got the codes

The faults that came up on my car were:

Throttle pedal position sensor short to positive or faulty wiring.

Oxygen sensor heater bank one open circuit.

I know i will have to replace the oxygen sensor but does anybody have any ideas about the first one?
