Featured Replies

Working in Holland flew to England to go get my new motor this morning up at 4am UK time one way hire from airport to dealers got a cheeky lil Fabia hire car then there it was :D

anyone else notice that it was HEAVY RAIN ALLLLLLL DAY!!!!!!!

I got there earlier than handover time so had to leave and find a spot of lunch and walk past my car :(

When I got it they had managed to fit front but not rear mud flaps happy enough that they got fronts on for now will sort back ones myself if the professionals cant manage to work it out lol had it changed to variable servicing from fixed 12month/10K after some not impressed words !

MDI with iPod cable was worth it for drive back alone!

nice car hope you enjoy it, as a side bar what kind of tyres did it come fitted with?

Nice! The stubby aerial looks so much better than the old ones. Race blue never fails to impress after a clean and the wheels always come up a treat in that bright silver.

Hope the torque of the motor impressed. The engine really is the star of the show in these cars. All the best with it Fubar

Nice colour choice, dry and sunny all day here, though was at work from 10 am till 10 pm , so didn't see much of it!

It did not come with half a tank?? :wonder:

Lovely car - very nice! Hope you enjoy it as much as i have loved the last 3 years with my vRS.

Nice car but shocking service:

Service set to standard

and

ONLY 5 miles in the tank!!!

It's the ONLY colour to have! enjoy............

Haha we're turning into a real race blue vs. white forum here :giggle:

My flags on the taxi white side :giggle:

Damn. Cannot believe they would send away a customer in their brand new car to the BEEEEEP! low fuel warning light....

Surely the OP must have said something, does'nt seem, right to pick up £20k of car and have to struggle to a local garage and spend £70. In any case, does'nt each car get delievered with a token or something for the dealer to put half a tank in? Maybe there using it on their own cars!

They come from the factory with nothing in them at all.

Ahem............I'd beg to differ ;)

Yea its similar to my old Furby which was remapped but ive been good sat with cruise control on all the way back as I was shattered 2200rpm in 6th

Yea cheeky gits "Right your gona want to go out left as its 1 way and then come back on yourself at roundabout to the Esso down there as you need fuel" were the words lol

Yea I know :( I used to work in a multi franchised dealers and we had an account with local Shell to pop over the road as part of the PDI and back then it was £20 worth which got you to the moon and back!!!! regardless of the car and size of tank. But mine was a tax free sale so tbh I had enough off the price as was :D and they did manage to fit front mud flaps rear I will have to sort myself at a later date now.

ps am I a bad person for getting up today after such bad weather yesterday to a BLAZING sunny day to go outside walk past car to garage and get the bike out and take it for a spin instead ?? I feel guilty

When I picked mine up it had half a tank in.

Picked my 2010 Octy up and surprised it had half a tank., poor customer service for you nearly empty tank !!!

Funny that my UK car came with variable service set up

....Anyway, RED is the best colour!

Nice car but sounds like poor service from your dealer.... you should of specified half a tank when doing the deal :)

Might be worth firing off an e-mail to Skoda and ask them how much fuel should be put in during PDI.

Tyres are continental sport contact 2 is that new ???

Not new no, they have been replaced by the SC3's in around Sep, Oct last year. I have the SC2's on mine (...and 2 SC3's after punctures) and they are great tyre compared to the reports on the Dunlops. They came top in a recent Auto Express tyre test too.

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, just got confirmed delivery date of June 21st which i'm a bit gutted about, I wanted it sooner! However if it hasn't got at least half a tank i'll be having a good old moan! Oh and Candy White over Race blue any day :D

yeah ok, don't rub it in!! :'( I take it you had to wait a similar time then? To be honest, I knew there was a bit of a lead time but 16 weeks is a long time, i'm told i've got no other option, just wait :( oh well I guess it proves what a good car they are if there's such a long lead time. Was the mdi a good option choice then? I was umming and arring and went for it in the end, along with dsg and the bluetooth and paddle shift steering wheel. I couldn't decide on race blue or candy white, went white in the end as the wife's touran is very similar to race blue so thought we'd look a bit daft if we had matching colours!

I ordered on 4th Nov got it there on 18th Mar..... not a bad time compared to a lot of others on here! I got MDI just for ease of use for iPod and control of it been able to do that with all stereos ive had for last 5 years so didn't want to downgrade on a new car from what im used to, that said its expensive for all im using it for. Id say as does everyone else it seems that its worth the wait but still id rather have had it sooner :D
