Featured Replies

My car is a Fabia VRS 04. Went to brake hard today andd brakes locked up. Noticed ABS and ASR orange lights are on. neither systems are working. got home and stopped car, Re-started car and no problems, went for drive and abs ABS and ASR working until about 10 mins into journey the ASR and ABS lights came back on, tried brakes and driving steady all ok, Tried with a bit more passion and neither sytems work.

Help.

Third time I started car today INSP and spanner symbol came on and then some time later, ASr and ABS lights came on.

Car was serviced (Small service with timing belt £300)weeks ago and came back with a good health, I know Service warning system was reset then.

Help, i hope this is cheap,

Got this on our 54 plate Elegance as well ... you need to have your car scanned.

My scan said 'intermittent signal o/s/f' or words to that effect, which means a bill for a new hub and labour = £200 ?

If INSP has appeared so soon after a service and provided it was correctly reset at the service, your ECU is faulty. ABS and ASR are likely to be a wheel speed sensor, or one tyre has wrong profile. Needs a code scan for certain, as that will list any faults and possible comms issues between the various control units.
