1.9TDi Variable service, question for the Teccies

Featured Replies

Our Octys first service was at 28500 miles, we took it in for the second service at 58600 miles even though it hadnt called for a service to get it well checked over before the warranty expired, at just over 64000 it has called for a service & the garage said they had forgotten to reset the variable servicing, that means the second service theoretically would have been 35500 miles after the first, I appreciate the new oil would have stretched it but what paramiters apart from the status of the oil does the car use when calculating the next service ?

Im not too worried about it, We will get the garage to reset it anyway just in case theres a fault in the system somewhere & service it again at about 85000.

Stuart, I think that you may find an adequate answer in this Article which explains why the Fabia vRS cannot be programmed or modifed for variable servicing.
