I'm sorry to ask!

Went to buy an oil and filter from motor factors by me as skoda miles away! Was firsty given 5w 30 which I said was wrong and have now got 5w 40! The various numbers on it are: vw 502 00/505 00. Have it got the correct oil for the fabia vrs 53/04 plate?! The other oil did say for vw etc 507 but I was unsure!

My other question is the car does not make sound when indicating or when lights are left on the dash? Any suggestions or possible ideas?

Thanks alot

Everything you need to know there in the thread directly above this one ;)

your first oil would have done as it exceeds 505. 01 spec

your new oil is not correct as it doesnt meet 505. 01 spec

5w30 is fine

If the indicators have stopped clicking it needs a new dash cluster.

Thanks for the help everyone, when you say replacing the dash cluster is that th head unit with speedo etc? Any idea how expensive they are?! Is not a big issue but just a niggle!
