Thanks guys - you are very kind. I still got a few things to do so I hope I put up more updates for you in the coming weeks.

Hi mate, the car looks fantastic!

Looks really well looked after as well, good job :)

Just wondering, what radio aerial have you used there on the roof? I am looking at replacing my aerial too, but have been unsure which to go for.

Thanks!

Thanks Stu! It was an antenna I got ages ago on ebay.

I had a quick look for you (type "skoda" "antenna"): it is very close to this one. http://viewitem.eim.ebay.gr/Bullet-Thumb-Aerial-for-SKODA-FABIA-Antenna/190510020966/item

Note though that the radio signal will weaken due to the antenna's short length so research well before making your purchase.

To resolve the issue I installed a "signal enhancer" or reception booster which did the trick - anyways I don't bother with radio, I have tons of music and I like to play my own stuff. :p

Very nice car looks sweet B)

I've been looking into removing the car's badges and applying new ones (or better the old style ones). After drawing the logo I cut it in 6mm thick acrylic and hopefully if painted chrome and applied onto the car it will look very similar to what Skoda is planning for the badge in 2012. Then again I could wait for the original badge, couldn't I? :D ...will see, I'll keep you posted.

Your attention to detail is astonishing, truly great work, especially like the engine paint job!

When you say 'cut', they appear laser or CNC cut? Did you get someone else to do it or did you do it yourself?

Thanks Stu :) It was a CNC due to the thickness of the acrylic and because I need rounded edges. Unfortunately I don't own such a machine, I only made the file in Corel and forwarded to the cutter.

Also I found a Favorit badge that fits perfect the 80mm badge space at the boot. If I find one more for the bonnet (88mm) then I will scrap the acrylic badge project. It only needs some touch up with chrome paint and it looks like this:

...lets hope I find one.

That's nice, looks like Skoda's new badge design, which I really like too, think I will be ordering a few when they come into the UK.

Was it not really expensive to get just 2 acryllic badges made up on CNC? I know these become a lot cheaper when made in bulk, so I just thought it would be pricey!

Nah they were 5euros each ;)

Like what you have done to the engine bay on your Fabia mate.

Just took a photo (now that the car is nice a clean and before it gets all dusty) of the debadged trunk. At first I thought it would look iffy but I think I like the clean and balanced look of it. I recommend it, hairdryer, dental floss and some cleaning.
