Can steel wheels be balanced so no weights visbly stuck on the outside

Featured Replies

I know when they balance alloys the weights are on the inner and outer edge but inside the rim, however usually on steelies they are balanced on the inner edge but also visibly on the outer lip, will they balance up properly doing them the same as alloys, as i dont really want the weights visible on the lip of the rim?

I had mine balanced on the inside only, and I didn't have any problem. The guy looked at me stupid when I asked, but he still done it for me, lol

Any decent place should be prepared to do this using stick-on weights.

My steels were balanced with the clip on ones on the inside edge for me. No need to ask or anything (not that I'd considered it!)

It can be done. I have been advised that it is slightly more difficult though.
