Another Turbo Blown Question

Featured Replies

Ok so I was on my way to work when I noticed I high pitched whine under acceleration, change gear and bang. Loss of power, consistent, high pitched whine, bluey grey smoke and top speed of 35mph. Sound like a blown turbo?

I have a few places round me that quote around £500-600 to replace it, is that good? Also what else needs to be checked i.e intercooler for debris etc.

I have a warranty which covers the turbo so Im not looking for a hybrid cause they wont pay out for it, but does anyone have some good ideas, such as places to go (in the South Wales area) or does someone have a turbo they could sell me to fit instead of being ripped of by buying a replacement?

Cheers guys

If you have a warranty then just let them sort it? Intercooler will be worth checking and clearing out, but if it goes to a decent garage they`ll know what to do.
