Which way dot they go?

the octavia ones say A and B on them. looking in the haynes book it looks like they curl so they sweep back ie like the wing of a plain.

I would of thought they swept Fwds so as to clear things? THe TT ones I have put on which are fatter Had L and R on them and I put the L on the pass side and R on drivers so they swept fwds but I found on Full lock they rubbed on the rim. just off full lock was ok??

Ive been at the car since 0830 and Ive still got a lot to do.

Think some TT front suspension parts are different m8, Hubs and stuff aswell

yea I know mate, The tie rods and endsa are fatter but would of thought the were on similar?

I just need to know which side goes on which?

I now have Octy ones as the TT ones were rubing on inner of rim on full lock. thought it was coz they are thicker.

I just cant remember weather they sposed to look like a J or L when you look at them from the side? thats the only way of describing it.

would you say thats a J or and L?

sorted mate cheers, just finished off. didnt get allthe things doen I wanted. Gonna leave the TT cast wishbone bushesthe same and didnt get the rear beam and 28mm bar fitted neither.

Lol 8.30 am to 4am! You must be mad!

yup! 3 quick loo stops but that was it,

Work done in the time:

drivers wing swap (so my one can be resprayed due to old egg damage)

S3 upper brace fitted

B & M short shifter fitted(royal pain in a55)

Passengers hub assy swapped

S3/TT quick rack fitted

Front coilovers swapped and cleaned up

edit: forgot the New front indicators lol

and lots of other work just to be able to do the above

still need to do the rear beam complete swap+rear ARB

still got the drone from the front so I have narrowed it to the CV joints on the pass side now! the bearing was fitted right lol. thinking its the Inner CV on the short shaft side but need to strip all the shafts I have down and make up 2 good ones.

Fit rear suspen and front Brembos when they arrive on Monday I hope. need painting first tho

I know, that pic was taken way back when I noticed that Wales VW spec in barry put my £50+ worth of std octavia ball joints on the wrong sides of the car. was in a hurry that day lol, again that week I went to work, came home stripped the car and tried sorting the troubles I am still having and putting it back together adn going back to work lol, something like 12 hr sleep in 5 days, lots of relentles and costa coffee that week lol

will check mine billy to see which way round they are as i cant remember off the top of my head

I will, Ill be going the whole hog. gonna get my hubs that were on my car pressed with new bearings I have asap, get new dust plates and bolt for them both and paint the hub assys so they look a bit more presentable and new and fit them all in one go along with the best CV's and drive shafts I have. all being well that will do it and cure the grinding/droning?? I hope. along with the painted brembos lol.

cant wait to get them on really, think they will be ace. only worried about the spiders, I am getting 1mpl better eco on the 17 spiders with 225 45 17 toyos on them. I am a bit worried that if I put 4 or 5mm hubsentric spacers on Ill loose mpg's? Prob be using the TD 1.2's at first till I can get some spacers.
