I have the dreaded delamination affecting 3 of my wheels, my query is this; is the polished Proteus also affected by this, as in all the threads reference delamination on Scout alloys, I have not heard any mention of the polished proteus being affected.

I haven't seen any threads about the polished versions delaminating but they were only introduced in the second half of last year.

My gut feeling is that they will suffer from delamination the same way that the 'non-polished' ones do. The only difference between the two versions is the powder coat applied between the spokes - the spokes and rims on both designs are polished the same. If they had made a breakthrough with the lacquer on the polished version that made it resistant to delimination I would hope that they would apply this to the normal version as this would save them money in the long term.

On a personal note I do hope that they have solved the delamination issues as I've just ordered a Scout with the polished alloys...
