Drivers door problem

Featured Replies

Hello to all members here.

Like other members i bought a alarm system to fit in my Fabia 6y 2006.

Everything look ok after installing the system, but i have a problem with my drivers door lock.

When i use the key all doors get locked without problem, but when i use the central locking button located in the drivers door, all doors get locked, but the drivers door get locked and unlocked. the same happens even with the alarm system. when i push with finger the jamper (i cannot find the word about this, is the piece located near the lamp that flash) that locks the door , other door don't get locked.

i try other doors lock, and with other is the same situation.

Can anyone give some advice.

My alarm system is "Motorjoy Long Range 2 Way LCD Car Security System"

Sorry for my english and best regards to all.

Any help guys?

Most likely you have not fitted a blocking diode (IN4001) into the trigger feed for central locking. I have never seen the alarm system you mention, so cannot be 100% sure. Double check all wiring and the instructions. It sounds like the door lock is always receiving a feed. A blocking diode ensures the alarm feed for locking can only go in one current flow direction.

You are right my friend.

After reading this guide "http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/77859-remote-central-locking-installation-guide/", the problem was not installing the 180 Omh resistor. After installing it, everything work like it should with the remote alarm system. Anyway the problem remains with the central lock button in the drivers door. It should be the same situation i think, maybe the button has some resistor burned. Anyway thanks You for your help.

Best regards and long live to this forum.

Now that alarm is working, i have another problem. Alarm trigger every 30 min, even i unlock with remote and lock it with key, alarm trigger after 30 min. I don't know what to think, cause my alarm has no programming option to trigger after 30 min. This problem is a defective alarm system, or is some option in Fabia central locking unit?

The alarm may have current sensing, and if so is not suitable for the car, or will need current sensing disabled. Various modules do self tests which can trigger current sensing alarm units. If the alarm is triggering at exactly the same time intervals, it will be current sensing causing it.

the problem was coming from the lamp up in the middle of the car. once i've shut them, the alarm does not trigger anymore after 30 min.
