Windscreen stone damage

Featured Replies

I took delivery of a new Octavia estate in mid January this year and have done about 1600 miles in it. During that time I have had the windscreen damaged on three separate occasions by stones kicked up by other vehicles. The stones have hit about half way up the screen every time and have pitted the surface.

Do other people have this happening so often? In all my years (about 25 yrs) of driving various makes of car I think I have had stone damage to the windscreen happen only on one occasion. Is there something about the aerodynamics of the Octavia?

Nope it is just the shocking state of the roads nowadays since the winter of 2009 pretty much. Mine has a few pits just like the bonnet but nothing more than any other car i have owned.
