My best ever bird snap........Mr Goldfinch

Featured Replies

I was lucky to get this today - the goldfinches we do get in the garden rarely venture near the house, they usually hang around in the trees at the back of the garden - so to get one feeding and actually look in the direction of the camera was a huge bonus

Excellent picture.

Is it me, or does he look a tad Grumpy?

Nice one!

Bird photography is always 1/3 skill, 1/3 equipment and 1/3 luck!

Excellent shot. He does look very miffed though

Fantastic Photo Bry

Brilliant capture that, but I agree he does look a little miffed, if you have not tried Sun Flower Hearts yet fill a feeder and watch the Finch's come.

Really nice! I adjusted the levels a bit for you so it has a bit more depth, I'm big on underexposing though :)

D5000 too, nice one.post-42046-0-06506000-1301428955_thumb.jpg

Nice shot - the garden birds really aren't easy - either need feeders close to the windows, blinds, or a long lens!

Maybe warm the white balance a little if you've got a raw file?
