The X Trail was due to be changed as it was nearly 3 and soon to be out of warranty, and the wife wanted something different.....

Freelander ruled out as still unreliable ( so 'they' say )

Tiguan ruled out as too expensive and not enough toys....

Ocatavia scout considered, but the ones for sale near enough to us were too old......

Getting picked up on Friday, is a newer X Trail, an Expedition Extreme, side steps ( why? ) roof rails with lights ( why?) no leather, but sat nav with reversing camera.

But worst of all, it's black..........

I hate black cars, they are a ****** to keep clean, especially ones the size of a bungalow.....

Notwithstanding the fact they've got a p*ss small boot, I still think you should have gone for a Yeti

They are the best cars in the world ever - just ask the Yeti owners on the Yeti forum
