Temperature Light Beeps and Flashes

Featured Replies

Hey Guys.

Last week my Temperature Light on the Speedo starting Beeping 3 times and Flashes on Startup.

So i Checked the Water and Re-filled it up.

Everythings been Fine since today. It happened again.

I Haven't had time to check the Water Levels due to Dark, but there was always a water substance coming out from the Exhaust not sure if it was Oil or Water or ETC..

Can anyone shed some Light on this?

:S

thanks-

Stephen

What engine?

It will be a crud built up on the level sensor in the header tank, pretty well covered on here. Will need a new tank but they are dirt cheap. If it's an MPi Fabia then it's probably down to the head gasket and your getting oil in the coolant which is contaminating the tank.

Hi, Yes its a 1.4 MPi.

Nearly Hitting 126k.

I Know P*ss all about engines i'm afraid.

Is that a Bad thing with the Head Gasket ? :(

Thanks

Before deciding it's the headgasket that has blown and contaminated the coolant why don't you just check the coolant level again? You could just have a leak somewhere. If the level is still OK then you need to change the expansion bottle/header tank, but as tech1e says it could be the head gasket - get a trusted competent garage to check it out for you. The water coming out of your exhaust is probably just condensation while the engine is still cold.
