turbo options?

Featured Replies

which turbos will fit the standard vrs manifold?

thanks

The standard K03s or the older K04.

cheers. what about other ones?

There isn't any. If you want to go for a different turbo, you will have to go for a different manifold iirc. even the K04 is a different fit I think.

K04 is quite bit of work to fit iirc different oil lines etc I think. You could fit a k03s hybrid if your thinking of more bhp?

Sorry for hijack, but what sort of price would a ko4 setup be? And what power would that be good for? Would you need a larger intercooler and different injectors?

Cheers Joe

not worth it not enough gain...I just put a k03 hybrid from cr turbos, they built it from my old k03/s it cost £720 all in there good for 320 according to them.Car is getting mapped thurs. so will know more.

Hybrid seems the way to go for straightforward install.

Hmmm, looks like a hybrid manifold and T34 are the order of the day then lol

Plus uprated internals so you dont blow bottom end out of it

depends.. 300bhp on a T34 would mean no stress on the turbo and the bottom end should be able to handle that..

ive not seen a K03S Hybrid deliver 300bhp yet.

my k03s hybrid is running 265bhp at the moment, still have an aftermarket mani to fit, but to chase 300bhp you're looking at watermeth too

not with the right turbo for the power output you dont :).

T34 is a 340bhp+ turbo. should be ample for a 1.8T!.
