Just off the phone to one of the local skoda garages inquiring about the wing mirror glass as my current one seems to have been attacked by the salt over the winter and discoloured...the parts man told me that he couldn't find a listed part number for the drivers side mirror, just the part number for a complete mirror housing. is this true or should there be a separate part number for the glass on it's own, don't fancy buying a complete mirror.

Hi Ian, do you have to get it direct from skoda dealer? If not, just do a search on eBay, there's a few seller on there that do mirror glass. My sisters had their mirrors kicked off by some drunken idiot walking home from the pub on their lupo and golf. We ordered both glass parts from same seller on eBay, came the next day & are perfect. You can usually pick if you need tinted, heated etc too :yes:

Same problem here. On both sides. Looks proper gash and affects rear visibility....

Is it a simple pull off and clip on job to replace the glass only?

Yeah if it's anything like the lupo and golf, there was a black plastic disc on the back which just locates and then you clip it in. Easy really quite cheap too, think we paid about £12 for tinted blue, heated and that's with the zoomed in part too.

yeah as far as i know they just pull off an click on....yeah i'll take a look on ebay just thought it would be as handy getting them from a local dealer but at 30 quid a glass ebay is looking mighty good lol

well it hasn't affect my visability just looks gash as you say....really should of washed the car more over xmas

Halfrauds?

Heated one? I think that is about £30 from dealers and they can supply just the glass. You can find it cheaper on e-bay, genuine ones. Most of the other ones, including Halfrauds are usually sticky ones and they might have the same fate much sooner than the old one.

You can find genuine ones on e-bay cheap sometimes, and they are with dead spot or widening as needed(drivers or passenger side).
