Water inside front door rubber seals

Featured Replies

I noticed last night that there was a build up of water within the front door seal rubbers on either side of the car. I've checked to see if it is then leaking inside of the car but the carpets feel dry. Anyone else experience this or should I get it looked at?

Had this on mine removed door trim found leak from metal cover on door, its held on with rivets wasn't compressing the rubber seal. Cleaned it then applied silicone sealer in copious amounts! seemed to work. You will need new clips for the trim the old ones break very easy. As a temp repair till i did this I fixed a 1.5" length of washer tubing just under the trim with duct tape so that any excess drained away. It just makes asmall dent in the seal which reverts back to normal after afew days.

I had this same problem on my Superb II, took the door carrier off and sure enough, as des2 has said, the carrier was leaking! My car was misting up badly, and the car felt dry. The problem with the carpets feeling dry, is it's the underfelt that holds the water / moisture and you can't feel that through the carpet, hence the reason they feel dry!

I really hope this isn't a massively common fault on the Octavia, as I have a new one on order!
