Console bushes

Featured Replies

Right have started to replace the console bushes and for some reason the new ones really don't want to go in so much so that they just split, I have. Diy made bush fitting tool which technically should work obviously I need to go out and buy more bushes but I'm thinking I may just fork out for the powerflex ones do they go in easier or not

Thanks

Look at their web site Powerflex.co.uk which has a picture fitting guide...I will defo be fitting these when I get time as currently on octi 4x4 bushes! B)

The Powerflex ones pop in really easily, the mechanic was surprised how easy it was. The Seat Cupra bushes are almost half the length and are even shorter than the console, so you need to be absolutely spot on, or you could get issues

Might go down the powerflex route then, it's just Ive wasted £20 for those bushes and have nothing cause they broke

For £30 I can get the powerflex ones I'll be ordering tomorrow

Consoles need to be spotlessly clean then they go in with plenty of lube.

Right the powerflex bushes are on and my knocking has stopped result and for anyone that is potentially going to change there console bushes I strongly recommend the powerflex ones they really are so much easier than oem ones to go in
