i have had a new steering rack fitted because the old one was leaking

but the steering feels a little bit heavier than before

i know the level of assistance can be altered thanks to this site

but can it be done with the basic free download of VCDS or do

you need the full blown version

I had mine changed, and the steering was a lot heavier. Transpired the garage had left a clamp on the hyrdolic pipes from when they were working on it.

Could be it's just low on fluid maybe?

There is a setting yeah but u need the full version to use the adaptation tab

garage who fitted it and see if they have VCDS

if they only have likes of carsoft could it be

altered with that

Pretty sure the setting is already at it's heaviest for most of out vehicles, the setting is in the pump so if it's heavy there is a problem.
