Hi,

The clutch needs replacing on my Octavia. I have a friend who is a mechanic and can do the labour for me cheap but I have to supply the parts.

I cannot find out which clutch kit I need. From the research done so far it could be either a Sachs or Luk.

Is there a way or will I just have to buy both and return the one that doesn't get used.

A definitive answer one way or the other would be very helpful

I had this with my PD and the only real way to tell is to ring Skoda and ask them which one it is by Chassis number

My car was a Sachs kit
