Coolant leak found.

Featured Replies

Hi.

I have recently been loosing coolant from my vRS, max to min over a week for the last few weeks. This morning i found the culprit, a pin hole has been made in one of the coolant hoses, just behind the plastic pipe from the air box to turbo. The cause is the clips from surrounding hoses rubbing against it, have a quick look at yours to make sure the clips are all facing away from the other hoses before they rub through.

The picture below shows the clip and the hose:

I have just used a cable tie for the time being to stop the hole getting any bigger while I find a replacement:

Can anyone help me find part numbers for these hoses?

Thanks.

Harry.

I'm sure I have some blue silicone Samco hose kicking about somewhere. I'll have a butchers for it when I get home - it may be the same size by some pure fluke! If I find it you can have it for the cost of P&P.

Thanks for the offer mate, however I think I will just replace it with OEM because of the contours in the pipe.

Does anyone know where I can view schematics of the coolant system to find the part number?

Thanks.

Harry.
