Featured Replies

Hi. Anyone else got a Fabia Greenline hatch or is this the first. Only collected it this morning. Will update how I am finding it as time goes on.

Wow great maybe yours was on the same boat as mine.

The dealer TXT me Tuesday to say my Greenline Hatch had arrived in the country.

IThink the hatch is better looking than the estate ,I think the estate the figures suggest than the estate is a better package , but if space is not an issue the hatch is a cracker, hatch will be better on the windy roads as well enjoy your greelines and post your figures

Hi Chris. Fingers crossed. It seems to be a great car. Bought it after being loaned a Fabia petrol version for a while. Was so impressed I bought this one. I am really interested in it's economy. Will post as it goes, so to speak.

Not read the manual yet. However, dealer tells me daylight running lights can not be switched off. Doesn't seem right but will see when I read the manual.

if they are the same/similar to those on the VRS (mounted low down as if fog lights), there is a switch in the fuse box under/below the steering wheel. However, if not consult your handbook to see if it is possible.

Hi. Thanks. Just reading the manual and get the impression it is indeed done by a switch in the fuse box. Why don't garages know these details? Thanks again.

Got one in order, due to be built end of the month. I'd be interested to hear how you get on!

Yes you can switch the Drls off, easy just underneath steering wheels there is a cover just pulls off,and hey presto switch them off!

Hi. Seems to want to get out of first gear very early on but then could labour in second if allowed. Probably just me getting used to a manual after recent automatics. Build quality seems to be spot on. Initial impression is very good.

Congratulations on the new arrival. B)

Nice to see another Greenline II owner.

The hatch is lighter, but remember they needed to add ballast to the rear of the Fabia VRS hatch for better weight distribution, but not the Estate as it was better balanced... and the VRS comes with a spare wheel in the rear as well which the Greenline II doesn't. (although I did get one afterwards)

Congratulations, hopefully in about a month and a half ill be getting mine. Did you go with any extras etc? I would love to see some photos. :-).

Hi. Not set up for photos yet. Should join Freedom. Extras were: Metallic, Climate control, Multi function steering wheel, Maxidot trip computer, Boot liner, Mudflaps and mats. Colour is Arctic green.

Hi. Daylight running lights are not switched off in the fuse box. Seems they are done by combination of indicator stalk presses. May also be done on multifunction display.

Hi. two 25 mile journeys today. Into and around town and back. Trip says 70.4 mpg overall.

Hi. First roundtrip journey to work, 75 miles. 75 mpg.

Hi. First roundtrip journey to work, 75 miles. 75 mpg.

Will be interesting to see if there is a difference between the dash display and the actual, which can be worked out by brimming the tank and seeing how many miles you get to the next fill up.

Mine is usually about 5mpg out.

Says high 70's when it's really low 70's.

Either way, 75mpg is impressive for such a new car.

Hi. Found it. Combination of indicator stalk and switching ignition on and off. Hey presto daylight running lights are now off. This is the procedure for cars with the stop / start system fitted.

Sounds a lot more complicated than just a switch in the fuse box... I wonder why they've done that!?

Maybe because DRLs on new cars are a legal requirement?

Maybe because DRLs on new cars are a legal requirement?

So did they put DRLs on (with a fusebox off switch) before it was a legal requirement then?

I must admit I'm not sure how long it will take before I get too annoyed with idiots flashing me and turn mine off (once the car arrives)! I know its supposed to make you more visable to other road users, but I get the feeling that this is one of those EU laws that isn't going to be strictly obeyed in the UK! :bandit:

Ah yeah that would make sense.

Have not seen this in my manual. Could you please explain the combo used to turn them on or off.

Thanks
