Hello to everyone on Briskoda.

I have, and owned, and driven thousands of Skoda's since getting my licence.

I have trained on them, fixed them, sworn at them and gained most of my professional qualifications on them, I know Skoda fairly well inside out.

If anyone wants help with anything, just ask and I will give my best advice I can.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Thanks gallego1968.

I see you drive the 1200 TSi, a blinding engine, especially in the Yeti with the 7 speed DSG.

Thanks again.

Hello 'VandrosdisTech'

Welcome to the site, you're expertise will be very much in demand shortly, no doubt.

Are you in the recently released Skoda environment with the latest models ??

How do you rate the Fabia VRS MK1 for working on, in general maintenance.

Thanks.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

In three words, piece of p**s. They are very robust and easy to do most things on with regards to general maintenance. Done countless cambelts and dual mass flywheels, and the odd gearbox rebuild. I have fully rebuilt a couple of the engines due to flood damage and a few turbos here and there. These kind of things are quite involved, but in the whole fairly straightforward. The Fabia VRS MkII look a little more crammed under the bonnet.

Oh, and yes I am deep within the realms of "SkodaLand" and the new vehicles, and the slowly changing corprate image (CI) as they call it.

Any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

I have indeed seen that section, and I believe another loony tune is on his way. I am working on an experiment with mine to run it with just bare essentials inside, to save weight and ultimatley fuel. Its a lowly 50kw 1300 with millions of miles on it, and soon will be ripped out ported, balanced and leightened to increase its efficiency. I live and work 30 miles apart and the cost of fuel is horrendous, so like tesco, "Every little helps".

My first car was a Favorit, my second a Felicia L, my third a Fabia VRs and now back to a Felicia Pacific, whoohoo!

Thanks for the welcome along, your not Greg James from Radio 1 are you? lol.
