How to adjust the sensitivity level of the automatic air circulation

Featured Replies

Hi All superb II owner,

You know when you are driving along the road and when the external air quality becomes smoggy or anything like that, your air conditioning system will shut off the outside air from coming into the car. Does anyone know how to adjust the sensitivity level to that function?

KR,

Not sure to be honest, I dont think its possible to adjust. I never use that function and have it disabled all the time as I found it to be unreliable, closing when it should not or remaining open in smelly areas.

How do you know it is closed? I also think that it has probably same sensor as most security systems and reacts only to carbon monoxide and similar exhaust related gasses. What I truly need is sensor for ammonium detection when passing by large farms ;)

It's fascinating threads like this that make me realise just how far we have progressed in car design. On my first new car (BL Mini 850 in 1974) the "heater" was an optional extra which I had to fit myself post-delivery and which had two options: "on" and "off" :)

KR,

Sigh! Wish anyone can really figure out how to. I mean it would be more practical and sensible if this function can be adjusted by the user at his/her well. I can easily adjust the sensitivity level of automatic smoggy detection device of my Lexus RX350. I guess this is probably something that Skoda may wanna consider revise the system when Superb or model with similar features are facelifted in the future.

KR,
