Symphony Radio Code

Featured Replies

Hi

If my car doesnt sell in the next week im going to put the standard radio back in. What i need to know is where i find the code for it otherwise no point me doing so. In the book i have a sticker on the inside with the serial number of the unit then a 4 digit number underneath. Is this the radio code? also does anyone know where i can get a wiring block for it as lost the one that was originally on.

Thanks

Hi mate that 4 digit code on the sticker will be your radio code. what do you mean by wiring block? do you mean an ISO converting loom?

Hi mate, yes i mean the bit that plugs into the back of the standard radio. I have some Celsus ISO leads AIS2156 says VW Golf Mk5 on the front. They do plug in the back of the radio but unsure if these are correct or not. any ideas?

Cheers

The standard head unit connects to the standard iso block on the car, or did someone cut the plugs off?

guessing the plugs have gone as i have had an aftermarket stereo fitted. Its an alpine. I cant find the standard connectors that plug into the back of the stereo. Only leads i have are the Celsus ISO leads AIS2156 says VW Golf Mk5 on the front. These do plug into the back of the standard unit just unsure if these are correct or not.

cheers

Got a photo of the leads.

Well that turns standard iso connectors into quad lock so the plugs should still be there to plug into the standard unit.

ok cheers. i have pulled the radio out and all thats there is the plug that goes into the back of the alpine. Cant see anymore plugs.

Unless the original plugs have been removed, you should have two plugs, one with eight wires is for the speakers and the other plug supplies power etc, don't forget the ariel :)You must still have these otherwise your Alpine unit would not work :)
