Just received this email from my dealer today

"Your new Fabia has been released from the factory.

 

Once I've receive notification from transport to it's arrival date with us, I'll send you the registration number"

So how long of a wait now then , the suspense is killing me. !!

2-3 weeks is the norm from reading on here

Put my order in end of February think it was the 26/28th

I ordered mine the same weekend and it hasn't been built yet. Was provisional for next week when I called them on Monday. Bloody dealer won't get back to me with updates so I keep having to call Skoda UK :(

Which dealer. If it was to be built next week then that should be you build date can't see it changing much.

I kept my extras to a minimum so that may have aided the build time

DM Keith in Leeds. The only 'extras' I've gone for are black roof and wheels and rear electric windows. Oh and the 'black pack' but that's a parts order that the dealer will fit later.

A 12-16 week wait in the showroom doesn't sound like much until you actual get into that waiting period and don't have a car!

I know what you mean regarding the wait. I've sold my car a got a great price so juggling between the misisus car and other while it comes.

The wait almost gets unbearable . Hopefully it won't be long

Mine was built last week, yesterday I was told it's at port of exit, but I didn't get a date of when i'm likely to get it, just told to ring back next week.

I'm not sure what to do, when should I ring back, when should I expect my car? Shouldnt be long now.. surely?

You should have it within 2 - 3 weeks, probably near 2 as Skoda seem to be moving them out quickly once built. However its not your job to chase the dealer, let them ring you. At least you know its on the way. Sit back and start thinking about the nice new car...

I am, they just don't seem great at ringing me, that's the only fault I have with them and they dont let me talk to anyone else. Fingers crossed for easter weekend

my dealer isn't brilliant at keep in touch either, but to be fair, they must be pretty busy judging by the backlog of orders.

They advised me they would check today on the order system and call me to know progress, but I couldn't wait so I called SUK direct yesterday and got details of the build. SUK told me between 3-5 weeks for delivery once built and 5 weeks being on the uppermost limit and that a month is more likely.

Time will tell if I do get a call from my dealer.

As I have posted elsewhere, ordered my VRS on the 18th of Feb. I have gone for silver with black roof and standard alloys as i thought they would suit silver best. Had a call from the dealer today to say the car is there and they are preparing it for collection next week. Decided to collect it on Friday as its a bank holiday gives me all day to have some fun.

I was going to order from Doncaster think his name was Jack??? but went with All electric Birmingham they were well over £500 cheaper.
