Uprated suspension

Featured Replies

Before i fianlly get round to changing the suspension from oem im wondering if carrying things like heavy stuff from local garden centre etc is still possible.

I use my fabia vrs for work and sometimes have heavy equipment in the boot which brings the car height down a bit.

Will coilovers, lets say wound half way down or more not be able to cope with some extra weight in the boot from time to time...

Would uprated springs and shocks be a better bet for me?

Still want to use the car for practical things but im not wanting to drive a boat anymore :o

I have my coilovers all the way down on the back, still carry a set of 17" spiders no issues.

Although new sportier springs would be shorter they will be stiffer, the laws of physics will mean same weight loaded-less travel.
