Some of you will know I'm recovering from a long illness. Everything is going well and I should make a full recovery...touch wood! But this still means I become quite exhausted during the day and have to sleep at roughly the same time each day (yeah, I know it sounds heaven, but it isn't!). Today, I woke mid afternoon and decided to go on my daily prescribed walk routine to the newsagents and back. Admittedly, I felt a bit dazed still, you know that feeling when you wake up a bit quick and start doing stuff before you are really ready. But felt ok otherwise.

It's a short walk of about three quarters of a mile there, and the same back of course. But today it was weird. I stepped out of the house walked down the drive and started the walk. The sky was blue and sunshine warm. It was very quiet, no-one about at all and almost no traffic on the roads. Quite amazing considering where I live. But, for this...I immediately saw a Fabia '11' plate Estate 1.6cr in bright silver going up the road. It looked lovely. Nice shiny tyres etc. Thinking...yeah, can't wait to order mine, I continued to walk and then a brand new Fabia Hatchback '11' plate came down the road, a petrol this time finished in Cappuccino Beige or something or other. What a beaut! I started walking along the main road (actually on the pavement of course, I'm not silly...yet!!!!), and blow me down...two brand new '11' plate diesel Fabia Estates, obviously the 1.6cr engine, and both finished in that Cappuccino Beige colour again and following each other, and I think being delivered to maybe a business, so company cars I think. Continued to walk, still no people about on foot, except a guy who looked like the 'WALKING DEAD' cleaning his brand new '11' plate Fabia hatch finished in Corridor Red!! He stared at me as I went by and I confirmed he was the walking dead. Blimey...but it still looked peachy in that red. There still wasn't much else in terms of traffic about at this time, I saw maybe a cyclist and a couple of motorcycles go by. I continued to walk. I saw in the distance a car approaching towards me. As it drew near...blimey...yet another Fabia Estate, this time an Anthracite Metalic Grey 08 plate diesel same as mine. But it didn't end there. I turned the corner only to be confronted with another '08' plate diesel Estate Fabia in Anthracite Metallic Grey parked partly on the pavement and unloading it's contents into a new house. Well, considering there didn't seem to be any other make of car about, I began to wonder if I had been in a coma for years, and Skoda had taken over the world. Then I thought no, not in such a short time! Now here's the other weird thing...all the cars being driven were being piloted by girls with blonde hair...so maybe I was near STEPFORD! I dunno...this started to creep me out.

But then I began to be rational...errr, yeah, I can be. Obviously, all I was seeing was Skoda cars. Honestly, I was, I know what I was seeing. So, it's much more likely that I had come down my drive and walked through a 'time portal' into the future and Skoda HAD taken over the world. Or...as I live just 1.4 miles from my Skoda dealer, he has been very busy! But no....reckon it's the 'time portal'!

I can honestly say I haven't seen as many Skoda's in such a short space of time as today. I still haven't solved where all the other traffic had gone. It was such a weird walk.

PS. I no longer have to take medication so you can rule that one out! Anyone else experienced this 'TIME PORTAL' thingy?

Everybody knows hot blondes can't get enough of Skoda Fabias, they love it and those that drive 'em......

It's a common thing when you buy a new motor... I've had it with every car apart from my current vrs... I do agree that it is very confusing

No it's totally true!, blondes do have a fetish for fabia's, I always have a problem which one is best Holly woulerbooby or Marilyn monroe , only one way to to find out FIgHT!!!!

Like I said...there were just a few of the 'WALKING DEAD' moving about on my journey...and only the Fabia's with blondes in. So your image is not far wrong. Not run down though. Was I asleep still...hmmm....the jury is still out on that one. Was I halucinating....don't think so. I could pinch myself and it hurt bad...but I got to kinda liking it after a while!!! The other thing I noticed was the lack of birds and the noise they make. It was creepy! Dibujo, I WILL try more water next time. Seb...are Welsh blondes really that hot?

I have seen loads of new Fabia's since ordering ours. Keep seeing greenline II estates all over the place, there is also a white vRS hatch with dark chromes which seems to drive past me whilst walking the dog at nearly the same time most nights, keep seeing it in the waitrose car park. Is exactly the same colour & wheel combo we've ordered, so is rubbing it in somewhat!
