Fabia VRS Head

Featured Replies

Have just had the head ported and flowed by CNC heads - the head looks lovely but they have resurfaced the head. The valves stand out and are not flush with the head as I expected. As they had the head for 2 months I also cant remember what it was like when I sent it away!

This will teach me to photograph parts before they get sent away!

Anyways - anyone know what the head should look like as standard?

Where the valves sit do they sit flush with the face? Or where the seats are, does all the valve below the face hang out (1-2mm of valve)?

It worries me as there will be valve and piston contact if the resurfacing of the head has been done wrong!

Any help as always is appreciated!

They never sit totally flush to my knowledge. I would hope they removed the valves, did the work, then reseated the valves to oem spec :) I know Jabba did this with my head.

Yep - looks like they did that but with the skim they did seem a bit further out!

Just managed to check it and I think its going to be OK - its A LOT of money if it goes wrong!
