Any coding changes needed for PAS pump swap?

Featured Replies

I am swapping out my presumably fooooked PAS pump a week today for one out of a vRS. Will I need to be aware of any changes to make on VCDS, or will it just plug in and work? I am hoping it works fine with no tweaks as the car is all vRS around the engine bay anyway.... wiring, engine, etc etc.

It should work providing it's the same part number etc, just make a note of the coding that's in yours and program the new one the same.

Assume that coding is in 44 - steering assist? I shall take a look tonight as need an excuse to plug the mongrel in for a check-up.

They are plug and Play (as long as it is TRW - TRW or Koyo - Koyo), well, mine was!!

Yeah Jason in 44.

The coding can vary, as you know this alters the steering weight etc
