Bicycle Carrier for VRS Oct Hatch?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good Bicycle Carrier for a Mk 2 Oct VRS Hatch back?

Many thanks in advance

Ooh, I've been having a right old look.

Halfords are doing a high mounted one for £60 and you can buy glass hatch adapters for £7.

Now need to work out how I'm gonna prevent paint scratches where te rack sits on the tailgate.

If it's the same one as I have the parts that touch the body are padded with foam.

It's the foamy bits I'm worried about. :)

What car do you have and do you have pics of it on?

Octavia estate, it fits fine on our 2001 A3 too, it's very adjustable.

I'm not an OCD grade bodywork worrier, I use my cars and do the best I can to keep them in good condition. The foam is quite firm and I can't see it doing any damage a good wash and wax wouldn't fix.

No pics of it mounted on my car I'm afraid, if you search 'halfords high mount cycle carrier' though you'll find hundreds of images.

Cheers for the speedy reply.

I guess I was hoping you'd have an Octy hatch.

The paint thing is just a worry. Probably unnecessarily I know.
