Radio code - Where to find it?

Featured Replies

Im presuming once ive sorted my disc changer issue and put my headunit back in that im going to need the radio code for it. Can anyone tell me where to find it?

Im used to having it in the service book with VW but ive looked all through all my Skoda bumpf and dont seem to have had any luck!

If I recall the factory radio knows when it's in the right car and won't ask for one.

Could be wrong though :)

If the headunit has been previously fitted to your car and working, it should be coded correctly and will start working when you re-install it.

Hence you not needing a code.

having disconnected my stereo in the last few weeks the above is true!

when you first turn it back on it will say security or something - start the car and within a minute or two it will be functioning

I had the symphony stereo in my car pulled the head unit out to remove a old Nokia hands free kit, put the radio back in and it came up with safe. After a few days with no sounds in the car I took it out and put a single kenwood in and lost the 6 disc multi changer thats in the boot :-(

Plug your stereo back in............ witchcraft takes place and then it knows its back home
