I own Skoda Octavia VRS model 2002, 1800cc turbo, and it is in great condition. However, I need more power. Do you know where I can buy a computer chip, for increase atleast 40bhp+, for it and not have to bring my car anywhere to do it. I know how to repair cars so I want to put the chip in myself. I can't find a chip on ebay.

Any advice is well regarded!

Cars are remapped now by laptop, not a chip, the only way you could get round that is by buying a sps, serial port switch, where you can have standard or remapped maps on it, you just connect it to your port switch, see Revo or shark performance, both sponsors on here, press there links

Have a look on here http://www.sharkperformance.co.uk/ I know he has sent maps to New Zealand so it should be no problem

I looked at the revo site ( http://www.revotechnik.com/ ) yesterday as came highly recommended by a friend, I see they offer a 5hr (driving time) trial of their remap for free.... give them a try, then if not to your needs you have lost no money

there are two places 'local' to me that do re-maps and they both use the policy 'if you are not happy with it when testing they will put it back to standard map with no charge for initial map or return to stock' bit out of your way though i think, and i don't know what their reputations are like

He is in Iceland, that is why he does not want to GO to a dealer as there will be none there, that is why I recommended an sps, and I did mention Shark( Ben)
