Greenline II Elegance - Delivery times!

Featured Replies

I have on order a Superb Elegance Estate - Greenline II in candy white with park assist, sunset glass and auto dimming rear view mirror. This is to replace my current company vehicle a Volvo V50 which is due back to the lease company at the end of May. Knowing the long delivery times, Skoda are quoting the car was ordered by me to our fleet department in Jan and the order placed on the dealer on the 8th of Feb. Delivery was scheduled for 6th June (17 week build time inc shipping etc), so not too much of a delay from when my old goes back to when my new car arrives. Heard from the lease company yesterday that delivery is now scheduled for September which means a 29 week build and delivery time which I have to say I find unreasonable. It does not help that for every month the Superb does not arrive and I have to keep the Volvo I loose about £80 in company car tax.

I have asked the lease company to see if an Greenline II estate is available sooner - even if it means a change of colour but my main concern is that the dealer is even being optimistic with the Sep delivery date as another post on this Forum indicates that Greenlines are now not available until Nov - does anyone have real information on delivery times is the Nov comment correct.

Does anyone know of any unregistered Greenline Estate available!!

I ordered a Superb Greenline estate last week and have been told that there won't even be an estimate of delivery date for 3 months.

Good job I'm not in a hurry - gives me more chance to save up a bit so there's less to put on HP.

I spoke to the dealer yesterday and 'they' are unable to even confirm a build date. I also rang around at least 10-15 dealers to see if any had one in stock - no. At least two suggested that I may not even see the car this year even though it was ordered in Jan/Feb.... :wonder:

This is verging on ridiculous- I havent heard of delays of this length with other VW green cars such as bluemotion 1.6 Passat. The Superb is a good car, and the 1.6CR even in non Greenline form is great, but not even being able to quote a delivery date seems to be a basic gaff in business terms.

The car will be worth the wait, but there are other good cars readily available out there that mean for those who cant wait for whatever reason there is a lost sale to Skoda and reputaional damage to the brand

Surely as Skoda are making good profis and SEAT are draining VAG resources it would make sense to make the Czech montsters in Spain to match supply and demand- failing that cut the VAT offers on petrol models

Interested to know how you are getting on? we ordered a Fabia Greenline2 estate at the end of march.......still no build date......still no answers.

Amused to find I couldn't register as 'disgruntled' as this is already taken!!! haha, is someone trying to tell me something?

What happens if you ever need a spare part?!

Should I just be running away from skoda as far as I can?

How long is the longest anyone has waited for their new car?

My Superb estate 2.0 TDI was ordered in February. I have just found out that I might not see it until October! I have already decided to have another Mondeo next time...

My 2.0 TDi Estate is scheduled to be with me around 21st October - this was from an order date of 8th July. This is all from our lease companies online portal - I know I ordered with the lease company before 8th July so I'm hoping that's the date they ordered with the dealer.
