-15C outside apparently

Featured Replies

My '08 scout has suddenly decided to have a prblem with the outside temperature.

Over a journey it initialy starts off at about the right temperature but slowly decreases over about 30 mins to -15C. On its way down it stops the AC from cooling (presumably because it thinks the ambient temp will be enough to cool the cabin)

Is there likely to be anything more serious than a dodgy temp sensor? Found a thread showing the location of the temp sensor so it looks a fairly easy fix.

Planning to borrow vag-com next week to see if there are any specific errors

thanks

Hi

Could you post the link to page that has how to replace sensor please. Just in case my one ever goes !

Thanks

James

I have to fit one on my damaged Octy and because i didnt have a bumper on it when i got it i need to my sensor sorted aswell. The wires got clipped so if you do have to change yours then can you just confirm the wire colours and the part number of the sensor (the one i have bought is 1Z0 919 485C, but seems as if i might need another bit). Cheers Dave
