Brakes Help...

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone would be able to assist me. I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v (100bhp) Y (01) reg.

I am looking to replace front and rear discs and pads but I am not sure which ones are correct for my car. Does it have wear indicators on this model? What size etc.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

Kind Regards,

Speedyp848

These are what I run front and back

Some people say you don't need fancy discs on rear due to braking forces transfered to front, but I use these mainly for the ability to free stones from the pads etc!!

Front disc should be 256mm dia, and rear is 232mmm you can get pads with or without wear indicators

I use these

Some people will say upgrade to 312mm VRS front discs, but that involves new hub carriers and will affect your insurance..and increases the "unsprung" weight!!

EDIT

my car doesn't have wear indicators...yours might....take wheel off...should have one wire to ABS sensor in hub..if you have another wire/connector near the caliper then you have wear indicators!!!
