I see cars with roof bars and think 'Hmm that looks good' Am I getting old, being weird or do you like them?

They give a car that "look at me, my owners active" vibe.. Kinda sporty? There's an Octy vRS near me that often has mountain bikes on it's roof..

I never liked them, then my mate got some, I tried them on and they look kinda funky I guess

get some roof bars, wrap them in blue foam (to protect your bike etc) and then just for a split second people see you and think you are a police car....or am i just mad ??

No but if you put upturned castors on the ends of the roof bars, it makes it a whole lot easier to pull a inverted fabia out of the countryside

They look quite good with a Kayak thats longer than the car attached!

I dont think I'd put them on just for the looks?! But if you've got to have them they don't look to bad.

Hope so cos I just won a set of OEM Skoda ones on ebay tonight!

To be honest, they are mostly for when we go on holiday (getting a roofbox), but will also be getting some bike racks.

I wanted a set of bars myself, i think its a good mix of practicality, usefulness and looks!
