Rear parking sensors

Featured Replies

Having had my rear parking sensors work then stop then work again and now stop, and now all I get is a long tone the first time I put the car in reverse and no int bleeping! I hate things that dont work, I have checked all sensors and there is no sign of corrosion in the plug/socket but cant tell if the actual sensor had internal damage. Where is the best and cheapest place to but four sensors?????

Either Ebay for a cheap aftermarket replacement full set, or hook up to VAG-COM to find out which sensor is bust. Not cheap tho, each one is about £80. I would like to know if any VAG sensor would work. Quite a few on ebay that look similar with a slightly different part number...

...each one used to cost about £80 - now it's over £100. Per sensor! Ludicrous money. Luckily the one I just bought (my third) was under warranty of one that had already been replaced. (Though only if the stealer fitted it and charged me 30 mins labour for the privilage (?) - and the monkey who did the job couldn't even do that without breaking it!) I must look into some cheaper alternative before the next one goes...
