Dealer Aircon Service

Featured Replies

Got the aircon serviced by a dealer at the beginning of last month (7 March) - worked fine but just this week it's now no longer chilled air blasting out when I switch it on - basically no difference between on and off! Thinking of taking it back but concerned they'll try to stitch me up to pay for more work - however, not good value for money for 60 sheets.

Not good, but the reality might be that the system has, since the previous work, suffered damage from stones etc and has lost its complete charge again - or the temperature flap motor has failed or something else.

Thanks. I'll take it back to the dealer - if they quote big bucks to sort I'll see if I can find an indie place somewhere.

It didn't emit chilled air until I got the aircon serviced - in the 19 months I've had the car I've had working aircon for only a few weeks :( . First car I've had with aircon so was delighted when it was working - it's just a shame my joy was short lived!

Edited to add: I've done some internet research - if it's the condenser then no more aircon - not worth paying 5 ton + to get a new one on a seven-year-old car.

Have also read it could be the evap sensor, which would show up on vag.com.
