Featured Replies

Been down to collect the new Monster from James @allams B) will write a review when I'm not so tired and I can think straight :giggle:

Also met up with rockhopper and wakev for a very nice pub lunch before turning for home :)

Just a couple of snaps; first one is in Allams workshop while I fitted the mudflaps from the previous Yeti :D

A grey-scale Monster collective

Hi Tim

Glad that you (finally) got your new SM.

Congratulations on your new acquisition, looking extremely splendid in Candy White :p. Glad all went well for you yesterday, now enjoy.

PS Said you'd beat me to it. :whew:

Yes,Congratulations......I love that multi-jointed tool on the floor. It must have made fitting the mudflaps a doddle.

Hi TP

It was great to meet up with you and Wakev (+swmbo) and see the latest addition to your fleet of Skodas.

Elsie the Helipdad looks grey in comparison to your sparkling Candy White SM. She needs a bath! :giggle:

Thanks for touching up the stone chip on the door.

Glad you arrived home safely. It's a great colour combination (not as good as White/Gobi, but nobody is perfect  ) I look forward to your observations in due course.

Mike

Pleased it's arrived safely at last!

Enjoy many more hours of happy Yeti-ing

What's with the three black strips on the roof in between the standard rails?

Aesthetics, aerodynamics or additional loading capacity ( :giggle: )?

They are the oem Skoda roof strips, first seen by 900k at geneva or was it Paris car shows.

They are the oem Skoda roof strips, first seen by 900k at geneva or was it Paris car shows.

Hope they don't fall off - seriously, as there is an increasing catalogue of bits (roof rail trim, side trim, bumper protectors, wheel arch protectors, etc) that seem reluctant to comply with the normal rules of adhesion where Yetis are concerned!

Sorry I missed you when you left!

Glad the drive back was a nice one.

How does it feel to be back behind the wheel of a Yeti?

Hi, having taken delivery of our 140 SE in March, I tried in vain to get 16" wheelson the car instead of the 17", but was refused on the grounds that the 16" rims would "down market" the spec or something like that! Iam intrigued as to how you managed to obtain the Moon alloys on an elegance? was it an expensive option?

Cheers

Hi Andy,

the 16" moon alloys are factory fitted not retailer so cost nothing, long story but basically Skoda UK said no the spec offered is the spec offered. Therefore I e-mailed Skoda Auto a.s. directly in CZ. Amazingly they said yes no problem, although to be fair I did explain to them that I'd previously owned a Yeti with 17" alloys and I'd been non to impressed by the ride and level of grip offered. Did get a bit concerned it might not happen as Skoda Auto have to get Skoda UK to amend the order as it's a UK vehicle. Having now driven her 400 miles I'm already convinced the 215/60 R16 tyre/rim combination is far more suited to the Yeti and if Skoda are reading this I would urge them to remove all 17" alloys and place them on the options list only or better still in the bin ;):D

Regards,

TP

I've been away in Scotland the last 11 days so was wondering if you got your car! Yihay and you did! Would have loved to have met you at handover but alas was away!

Enjoy The Ice Cube!
