My fellys gear stick is prity vauge, when in gear I can get a good 2/3 cm movement either way. I'm fine with it sort of got used to it as a quirk of the car but my wife is about to learn to drive and I reckon sorting it out would be good. Anyone got any idea of the part numbers to gain an as new feel. I know jorily do a kit but what's the best approach? I did once try taking the complete selector off a scrap car but even with the pin that attaches the shaft to the gear box gone i couldn't get it off, is it a common problem to get them off or with the pin out should it just drop off?

if the roll pin it out it should slide off fairly easily tbh, you might need to use a large screwdriver to lever it off if it's stiff
