Help for a newbie

Featured Replies

Hi guys and girls,

I recently bought a Felicia 1.3 L

I dearly love the character of the car but I really want a bit more poke to the performance.

A friend of mine has suggested changing the air intake and exhaust as two fairly inexpensive and effective alterations.

As I'm new to the game, can anyone give me any useful information on where I should be looking for these parts?

I really have no idea if parts are commonly available to upgrade my current spec, so any ideas and advice would be amazing

Jon :)

If its a 1.3 L, it may be the 54bhp engine...So will take a lot of work to gain power.

if it's the 54bhp motor then an engine swap or a different car are your best options for more ooommmph!!!

if you have the 136 68bhp engine then u have a few options.

theres a few aftermarket bits still out there for the 136 engine as it has links to motorsport,

a member here(djaychela) has something on ebay at the moment which could be of interest to you

there's a few other bits out there and some experienced tuners of the 136 engine on this forum

so i can't see it being hard to get an extra 20bhp from the engine.

good luck

Thanks guys, really helpful, it's the 54 bhp version so I'll look into the engine option :)

Someone (IMS i think) has one for sale on skoda forum.

wouldn't it just be easier to sell your felicia and buy a 1.6 one rather than fiddling wit engines and wires and all that game?

the 1.6 has enough ooomppphhh for most!

If ur not too attached but like felicia's then sell it and get the 1.6

Tom is right as usual
