Just bought 2006 Octavia 2.0 elegegance mileage 45k leather upholstery.

Side bolsters are rapidly disapearing.Now no side support and my wife is now almost sitting on the plastic seat height adjuster! Drivers seat & all others perfect.Any history of this happening with other members?

Had this problem in my fabia. I bought a new seat base as the foam wears through. The drivers side is probably from getting in and out but possibly similar for the passenger side. Either that or a larger person has been ferried about in the car before you had it?!

I can feel the frame of the seat on the right side, not as bad as my old 307 though, I had the seat base changed 3 times under warranty!

I am sure this cropped up a while back (last year..?) with vRS seats in particular. Although not specific to your car it might be worth a search around/read...?

30k on the car bought it used only had it a month and had to get the bolsters replaced.

Not unknown for this to happen, you can replace the seat foam but it is a really tedious job.... so best to do it yourself rather than pay garage. I suppose Skoda have to save money and cannot expect Recaro quality... but they could manage a little bit better quality on some of the "soft furnishings"

The whole... its just a shaped lump of foam, probably the reason it is rather prone to lose shape in the first place, nothing to stop you improvising though and trying to cut a replacement bolster yourself from firm seat foam... the worst part of the the job is dismantling the seat and preserving all the metal clips that hold it the cushions and cover in place.... fiddly and annoying
