Further to Fuel Tank Plug nightmare....

Featured Replies

Please please please there must be some good guys out there in Skodaland who can pop into their garage and stick a socket or spanner onto the fuel tank drain plug of an S100 and report back and tell me what size it is! I reckon that Blu-Tak wound into the hole will determine the thread... but again if anyone knows what it is then please tell me and I will pass it on to my son in the CZ republic. Many thanks!

Sorry to be such a newbie, but what does the OC in OC forum stand for as there are so many to choose and I can't see a general Owners' Club which it may have been.... sorry to be a pain!

I replied to the original thread, it will be a metric fine thread, probably m12 oM14. i cant remember. I would try a sparkplug in it first, they tend to be Metric fine pitches.

If you get stuck tuck I will pull mine over the weekend, but my money is on it being something like M14 x 1.5.....

Thank you so much! At last we are getting somewhere close.... What should have been a simple problem has turned into something far more difficult to solve. Communication between the UK and my son in CZ is tricky too as he has a lot of work commitments!... He is really frustrated at having 'Emile' all ready to go apart from the hole in the petrol tank! If you can find out the correct pitch we would be eternally grateful! All the very best.
