Just thought I'll talk about something different other than bushes, suspension etc...

Renewed the Fabia badge on the boot, also bought the new Vrs badge but looks way to big on boot so went with this.

Looks good, not a great fan of the original font used for old type of name badge.

looks pretty good.

I de-badged 'Fabia' and the old vRS badge and went with new vRS badges on front and rear.

I just got one of those in the post this very morning! good to see how it will look when fitted. Not sure whether to take the VRS off too though?

Finish it off with a Polo rear wiper :yes:

Did put the new octavia vrs badge under 'fabia' badge but it was way to big. Looked cluttered.

So took it off, then thought about just leaving the 'fabia' badge on it's own, looked good. But wanted to show it was a vrs so old badge went back on. Squared up in size lovely I think.

I've not fitted it yet, my car is currently having a turbo fitted, but I reckon I'll be copying that when its fixed. :yes: Looks smart.

I spent ages taking my vRS logo off yesterday, and was left with a nasty outline of where the badge was. Unfortunately it had marked the laquer, so needless to say the badge is back on again now :'( looks OK, but I think I prefer the clean look.

i too spent ages taking off the fabia badge which broke in the process but it too had marked the laquer so have had to get another one to put back in same style was going to take off the vrs but think ill leave it as it is

JLneonhug, plate surrounds off eBay, there's different style one's to last time I looked.

Agent47 & Simon24, you have to use a fudge/toffee wheel to get the lines and residue off, only a couple of quid from halfords, put it in the end of a drill and all the crappy left on car is off in seconds.

It's not residue though unfortunately, it has actually taken the laquer off so would need to be painted.

I was talking about the Fabias with the longer badges to softscoop earlier today.. Can't be many of them out there because the "Fabia" length one came in really quickly, mines an 04 plate and has the shorter vRS badge.

have you tried polishing? if someone local has a rotary could bring it up. depends on how bad the laquer is mind you lol

there's enough sticky stuff on the badge. Obviously make sure paint work is clean of wax etc. Or any other chemicals to stop it sticking.
