Greenline Estate tyre pressures

Featured Replies

Just wondering what presures other Fabia Greenline 2 estate owners are running.

There are two values in the fuel flap, with the lightly loaded showing 3 people and a suitcase. This is 2.6 bar or about 38psi all round. But having found the ride a bit hard on occasion I reduced to 2.4 bar (about 35psi) in the front and 2.2 bar (about 31psi) in the back.

There was a noticable improvement in ride quality in my opinion and it seems to have made no difference at all to the economy or roadholding, I have thrown it about a bit.

Baring in mind this is becuase most of the time I am in the car alone with no load in the boot. I weigh 82kg so only count as one person.

What are you running?

Fully loaded states 3 bar (43.5psi) in the back with 5 people for info.

I have a GL1. Fronts 38 PSI rear 36 PSI.

24000 miles now on second set of tyres. Perfect wear pattern to the old tyres.

Its a harder ride agreed but the handling is fine and economy is brilliant. I used to inflate my old 1.2 HTP Fabia tyres above book figures. Harder ride but better economy and grip levels/response.

Provided your tyres wear normally and not excessively at the edges then a slightly reduced pressure isnt going to do any harm. In reality all you have done is take the pressures down close to standard car pressures. Quick cheat on a Greenline is to increase the pressures for economy.

Yep, I run about 70% of the time with four in the car and then sometimes add the dog. I decided to use 2.6 front and 3 bar for back.

Even with just me in the car it's like having nearly two people in - 105kg.

The ride for me is OK and still softer than any of my sisters Hondas (Civic, CRV, CRZ).
