EBC brtake discs for VRS

Featured Replies

Please be aware if you are planning on replacing the front discs on your VRS with new EBC units, the information given on 'all' the EBC suppliers web sites is wrong. I have an 07 PD and ordered turbo grooved discs No GD1201. these are 288mm diameter discs and will not fit. the correct part No is GD1386 312mm diameter. after sending me the wrong units twice, i now have the correct ones in place after alot of messing about. if you are thinking of replacing your old ones then i can recommend the turbo grooved variety. it's like pulling a parachute..

Good to know thanks

The 288mm disks are for the non-vrs models, I think.

when i put my details into EBC site it comes up all correct sizes.

If you choose the 2.0TD 170bhp it gives you the wrong brake size, I thought only the VRS got the higher output variant of this engine?

John

Yes, only the vRS got the 170bhp diesel. And it's only the vRS models (both petrol and diesel) that got 312mm front discs - the rest of the range uses 288mm.

I don't rate the ebc stuff pads or disc's they seem to be a product aimed at boy racers rather than proper race bred or proven like mintex and brembo plus others.

Don't agree. Not sure where you get that impression either.

Their pads I don't particularly like, but speaking personally I find their discs are 'proven'.

Fabia VRS MK1 288mm vented front discs, with solid rear 232mm discs.
